Finding pages — search and bookmarks

Long projects need navigation tools. Two of them.

Search

Every page's OCR text is indexed. Tap Search in the project header, type a word or phrase, hit enter. Results show a snippet of surrounding text with the match highlighted and jump straight to the page on tap.

Scan-only projects also get search — the app runs a lightweight OCR pass on every scan-only upload (no translation, just text extraction) so search works without translating.

Bookmarks

Open any page → tap the Bookmark icon in the header → give it a short label ("Ch 3: Introduction", "Diagram 4.2 — voltage divider"). The label shows up in a dedicated Bookmarks list you reach from the project header.

Tap a bookmark to jump straight to that page. Editing or removing a bookmark is one tap from the same dialog you used to add it.

When to use which

• Search — you remember a word from the content but not the page.
• Bookmarks — you'll return to this page often (chapter starts,

reference tables, tricky pages you're proof-reading).

Neither is limited to translate-intent projects. Search on a scan-only project uses OCR text from the lightweight scan pass; bookmarks are just user-defined labels and don't care about intent.
